What is the typical number of students per class or your class size?
- At the elementary school level, the maximum classroom size is currently 20 students. The school's average class size is 15 to 18 students.
Do your classroom teachers have teacher's aides?
- With small class ratios, there has not been a need to employ teacher aides.
Do you provide tutoring?
- Many teachers provide help class sessions “by appointment” either prior to school starting or immediately following class. For additional instruction, several teachers offer to tutor students for an hourly fee. The administrative offices can provide referrals to parents.

What time does school start and dismiss?
- K3-K5 starts at 8:30am dismisses at 3:00pm
Elementary starts at 8:30am dismisses at 3:00pm Middle/High School starts at 8:15am dismisses at 3:10pm
What grade level does your school go to?
- The Academy Preschool serves children from age three to age four. The Academy instructs children from Kindergarten (K5) through 12th grade.
How does your curriculum compare to other schools?
- Haven Christian Academy is a college preparatory school; therefore, we use an accelerated curriculum. Typically, our students are ahead of public school students by one or one and a half years academically. Our curriculum (A Beka) is a Christian based program.
Is your grading scale the same as public schools?
- A = 100 - 90
- B = 89 - 80
- C = 79 - 70
- D = 69 - 60
- F = 59 - 0
What form of standardized achievement tests do you administer?
- We use the Stanford Achievement Test #10. We do not administer the FCAT.
Are your teachers certified?
- Currently all incoming instructors are required to possess a degree in education. All of our teachers teach in their field of expertise.
What style of Classroom do you employ?
- Our classrooms are teacher-led learning using foundational core subjects.
