Sunday Morning Sermons
James 1, July 20, 2008,
Do you know the
essential tools you need to navigate
"Life
in the Process"?
Kevin continue this series with some specific thoughts on the essential life building tools of wisdom, prayer, and faith.
James 1, July 13, 2008,
"Gloom despair and
agony on me... Deep dark depression
excessive misery..."
What is our attitude towards hard times? Kevin starts a series in James titled, "Life in the Process".
God teaches us in the book of James the path that leads to maturity in the Christian life begins with an unnatural attitude!
Jeremiah
18, July 6, 2008,
God reveals to Jeremiah that
He is about to judge Judah. As Jeremiah stands
before the village's potter, God shows the prophet
that Judah's judgment does not have to happen.
God identifies Himself as the Potter.
Kevin challenges us, that have made a mess in our lives, to yield to the Potter. We can yield to God because of His Person, we can yield to God because of His Process, and we can to yield to God because of the Product He wants to make of us.
This is the foundational sermon that begins the series, "Life in the Process"
John 12, June 29, 2008, Kevin
encourages us to be "Pigs!" God is
not only looking for Christians who will
give of themselves, but who will
give
themselves. Those Christians who
lay everything on the table are those who
understand worth over cost; who
understand they will be often
misunderstood and criticized; and who
understand they have the attention of
the Master.
Philippians 3, June 22, 2008,
"Men, this is a
Football", and that is how this sermon
begins. Kevin takes us to Philippians 3
and asks the question, "Do you really
want to win? If so, then you have to:
forget about the past, focus on the
present, and pursue
the future."
Fathers Day,
June 15, 2008,
Jesus
gave us the Sermon on the Mount. Kevin
emphasizes on his first Sunday at Haven
the ideas found at the end of Jesus'
Sermon in Matthew 7.
"Ask...Ask Ask Ask Ask Seek...Seek Seek Seek Seek... Knock....Knock Knock Knock Knock Knock....because if you do... It will be given, you will find, and the door will be opened. You can run to God because he invites it and because He gives what is best."
Candidacy,
May 18, 2008,
Kevin introduces
himself to Haven Baptist Church and
shares a message which includes the
themes: God's Presence is Real, God's
Word is True, and God's Future is Bright.
